Port Side Paint Removed

Sunday 15 January 2017

The last of the paint on the exterior port side hull has been removed, now just the chalking and some oyster remnants below the water line. Have found a number of areas with some over chalking – inside edges of some boards have been “chiseled” down in the enthusiasm to get too much cotton/string in.

Hull Stripping (Con)

More paint removal from the hull of ANZAC. In the foreground you will see the tender back on the trailer. Trailer is about to have the new trailer springs attached – just requires some welding for new brackets then final paint then almost complete.

Stripping the Hull

Xmas 2016 – Its been a while since the last post – busy with work. Over this Christmas break I have been stripping down the hull, removing the layers of paint and cleaning out the caulking. Had some help from my daughter – she still managed to stay in contact with her friends!
